Thursday 17 Sep 10:00 C 5 miles. Winyard’s Gap PH, Chedington. DT8 3HY (GR ST491060) Circular walk. There are 2 stiles and a few inclines. Highlights include stunning views of South Somerset from the pub garden 600 feet of elevation, the showjumping arena at Chedington Court and the memorial stone to 43rd Wessex Division. Lunch can be ordered on the day from the Winyards Gap pub which has ample parking for all.

Our Walks Programme
We have a choice of 2 half day walks on a Thursday and a full day walk on a Sunday. We walk not only in Somerset but also in Dorset, on the Mendips and the Quantocks.
Thursdays
Each walk starts in the morning and the aim is to finish by lunchtime, often at a pub. One of the walks will generally be between 4 and 5 miles. The other will generally not exceed 6 miles.
Sundays
These are all day walks and a picnic is required. The length of these walks varies with an average distance of 12 miles, shorter in the winter and up to 15 miles in the summer. These walks are done at a faster pace than the Thursday walks.
On all walks be prepared for all types of terrain, especially on Sunday walks. In the winter there will be plenty of mud and wet ground. Walking boots are essential.
Dogs that are well behaved and under control are welcome on all our walks unless the walk details state otherwise. If in doubt please ring the walk leader to confirm.
